SNAP-8 is a synthetic eight-amino-acid cosmetic peptide that mimics the N-terminal portion of SNAP-25, a core component of the SNARE protein complex required for vesicular neurotransmitter exocytosis at the neuromuscular junction. By competitively destabilizing SNARE complex assembly, SNAP-8 attenuates acetylcholine release and reduces muscle-contraction signaling — without the membrane-cleaving mechanism of botulinum neurotoxin. Storage Conditions
